Lawrence Scores Twice in 26-2 Loss at Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.--Senior Caitlin Lawrence of the Hood College women's lacrosse team (3-5, 0-2 Commonwealth) scored a goal in each half to bring her team-best total to 28 in a 26-2 Commonwealth Conference setback to the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays (5-3, 1-0 Commonwealth) Wednesday afternoon.

Lawrence also controlled nine draws in the game and forced a Blue Jay turnover while keeper Lauren Couch stopped 20 shots, including six free-position attempts. Couch's 20 stops matched her season-high.

Miriah Stone and Amy Eyler were also credited with a draw control while Kimi Brunot and Ashley Kitzmiller scooped two ground balls apiece.

Etown's Leigh Flounlacker had a big day for the hosts, collecting six goals and eight assists for 14 points in the win.

Hood continues Commonwealth action Saturday hosting Lebanon Valley College at noon at Thomas Athletic Field.
