Jordan Patterson honored by and ECAC

FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College's Jordan Patterson was named the All-Mid-Atlantic Region team and All-ECAC, the two organizations announced. 

Patterson earned the honor as a utility player based upon his combination of hitting and pitching. He was named to the third team by and received second team accolades from the ECAC. 

An All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth First Team selection, he ranks among the conference leaders as a hitter with a .390 batting average. Among his 11 multi-hit games is a four-hit, four-RBI effort against Albright. He has struck out only eight times in 100 at-bats. Patterson had three-hit games against Maritime (N.Y.), Stevenson and Alvernia. He is second in the MAC Commonwealth with a 1.99 ERA in 49.2 innings and leads the league in WHIP at 0.97. Patterson threw back-to-back shutouts in conference play against Arcadia and Albright, allowing just six total hits over the two contests. He struck out nine in seven innings of two-hit relief against Penn St.-Behrend.

For Patterson, he was named to the 2017 All-Mid-Atlantic Region when he was also the region's rookie of the year. He is the first player in program history to receive a All-Region honor multiple times. 

Hood finished the season 25-13-1 and earned the top seed in the MAC Commonwealth Championships.
