FREDERICK, Md. - A strong attack led the Hood College women's soccer team to an 8-0 victory over St. Vincent on Senior Day.

How it Happened

  • Hood started the scoring early when Hannah Smith picked out Jasmine Mangle who finished the chance in the 13th minute.
  • Courtney Ellis knocked in the next two tallies for Hood as they increased the lead to 3-0 leading into the second half.
  • In the 47th minute, Merritt beat the keeper after receiving a ball from Scarborough.
  • The next three scores came from Mangle, Bautista, and Scarborough as the Blazers led 7-0 in the 57th minute.
  • The scoring concluded after Lauterbach send in a cross to Colby Painter who headed it home.
