Unbeaten streak snapped at DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Hood College women's soccer team had its seven-match unbeaten streak stopped at DeSales 4-1.

How it Happened

  • The Bulldogs jumped out the early lead in the ninth minute when Cassidy Klein's throw in found Allie Trick for the 1-0 advantage. 
  • DeSales added a goal by Sophie Goad in the 37th minute to go ahead 2-0 at halftime. 
  • Tess Rodgers and Sydney Amato both found the back of the net to start the second half to put the match out of reach. 
  • Late in the 64th minute, Provinzano sent a through ball ahead to give Merritt a one-on-one. The junior finished with a shot to the right post to put Hood on the board. 


  • The Blazers fell to 7-2-1 on the year. 
  • DeSales is 7-2. 
  • Lia Gaccione made one save in 80 minutes before giving way to Alina Vertiz.
