Women's soccer eliminated by Muhlenburg

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Hood College women's soccer team fell in the first round of the ECAC Tournament 3-0 to the Mules of Muhlenburg.

How it Happened

  • The Mules opened up the scoring quickly after Cece Pedan put away a loose ball in front of the net after just seven minutes of play.
  • Another Pedan score came in the 24th minute after she beat a defender and struck the ball from 20 yards out to put the score at 2-0.
  • Muhlenburg's third goal came after a corner kick was not cleared out and Morgan McCauley capitalized on the opportunity to put her side up 3-0 in the 44th minute.

Notes

  • Libby Juliano played 61 minutes and Kayla Klarides played the remaining 29 in net for the Mules. Juliano stopped one shot. 
  • Hood ends the season with an overall record of 11-9-2, tying the school record for wins.
  • Muhlenburg improved to 9-6-2 and will advance to play Alfred University who tied DeSales 1-1 and advanced 9-8 in PKs.
